Kevin Dennis Corbett, 74, Vero Beach
Kevin Dennis Corbett, 74, recently of Vero Beach, passed away on July 17, 2017. He was born March 25, 1943, in London, England, where he graduated from the London School of Fine Arts.
Mr. Corbett started his design career as a young adult on Fleet Street for The Sun, News Corporation eventually moving to New York City as design director for Star Magazine, News Corporation America. Mr. Corbett was a member of the United States Soccer Federation, as a Licensed Coach and was a United States Pony Club volunteer.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Rohall-Corbett; daughter, Alexandra Corbett; son, Daniel Corbett; step-daughter, Susan Gasparro; and granddaughter, Olivia Gasparro.

Donna Lynn Gale, 69, Vero Beach
Donna Lynn Gale, 69, of Vero Beach, passed away July 12, 2017. She was born Aug. 11, 1947, in Hobart, Ind., to parents, Donald Preston and Barbara Preston.
Donna worked at LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, Indiana, from 1972 – 1990. Moving to Vero Beach in 1990 she continued to work as an cardiac ultrasound technician for many years.
Mrs. Gale is survived by her husband, George H. Gale, Sr.; children, Victoria Bell and George Gale, Jr. both of LaPorte and Ashley Gale of Vero Beach; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gale was predeceased by her parents and grandson, Brandon Williams.
Bernard Mark Gross, 71, Vero Beach
Bernard Mark Gross, 71, of Vero Beach, passed away July 17, 2017, at Indian River Medical Center. He was born Oct. 13, 1945, in Newark, NJ, and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 10 years, coming from Broward County.
Mr. Gross was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam War. As a civil, he worked as a felony probation officer in Broward County.
Mr. Gross was a member of Temple Beth Shalom, Vero Beach.
He leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife of 42 years, Miriam Gross; daughters, Michelle (Fernando) Zeppieri of Cocoa, FL and Robin (Jeremy) Gibbon of Virginia and grandson, Merrick Gibbons. He was predeceased by his parents, Minnie and Abe Gross and 3 brothers, Roy, Marty and Paul Gross.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Henry Walton Haverstick, 95, Vero Beach
Henry Walton Haverstick, 95, died on Friday, July 14 in Vero Beach, due to complications from pneumonia. Mr. Haverstick was born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 16, 1922, the oldest of four children of Henry W. Haverstick, Sr. and the former Mary Renehan.
He graduated from Emerson High School in Union City, New Jersey in 1941. He later studied at the Newark College of Engineering and Fairleigh Dickinson University.
In 1943, Mr. Haverstick married Margaret Fischer. They had a son and daughter and remained devotedly married for nearly 74 years.
A veteran of WWII, Henry served in the First Army and then in the Third Army. In 1944 and 1945, his 473rd Battalion participated in battles in Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland and Central Europe.
After his discharge from the Army at the end of 1945, Mr. Haverstick worked for the needle and machine manufacturer, Alfred Hofmann & Company in Union City. In 1951, he owned a tailoring and dry cleaning business, Esquire Cleaners, in Teaneck, NJ. Soon, thereafter, he embarked on a 29-year career in the food grocery business, working for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, better known as A&P. He was employed as a manager in several of the company’s stores in Bergen County, NJ. He retired in 1986.
Between 1953 and 1981, Henry and his family resided in River Edge, NJ. He and his wife then lived in Manchester, NJ, from 1981 to 1999; and in Germantown, Md., from 1999 to 2012. Later in 2012 they relocated to Vero Beach.
Over the years, he was active in the Knights of Columbus fraternal service organization; and Alcoholics Anonymous, where he was an inspirational mentor to many of its members.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Haverstick is survived by his son, Henry; his daughter, Margaret Buxton; his brother, Kenneth; his sister, Helen Kerr; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Henry was a man of great honor and integrity; but most of all a person who shared his love and kindness with everyone fortunate enough to be a part of his life. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew and cherished him.
George F. Kirchhoff, Jr., 79, Vero Beach
George F. Kirchhoff, Jr., 79, of Vero Beach, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.
He was born Sept. 15, 1937, in Great Neck, NY, to parents George F. Kirchhoff, Sr. and Margaret Hession Kirchhoff.
He married Jo Ann Freer Nov. 4, 1962, in Pleasant Valley, NY, where they resided until moving permanently to Vero Beach in 1992.
Upon working 34 years with NY Telephone Co, he retired as a buildings manager.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jo Ann Kirchhoff; his brother, Thomas Kirchhoff; his nephew, Joseph (Andrea) two Kirchhoff and children; and his two nieces, Susan (Alain) Kirchhoff and Mary (Jim) Albricht and their two sons.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at the St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Vero Beach.

Jeanne Patricia Liden, 69, Vero Beach
Jeanne Patricia Liden, 69, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2017, within two months of being widowed by her loving husband, Ed, of 39 years.
Jeanne was born in Perth Amboy, NJ ,to Jerome and Genevieve (nee Burns) Kelly. She was a devoted wife to Ed, loving mother to Susan, Sharon, Kellie, and Craig and an adoring grandmother to Nicholaus, Joshua, Casey, Elijah and Aidan.
Jeanne had a true zest for life! Preparing a meal for her family or for the fondly known “Liden” gatherings, brought great joy to her soul. She will truly be remembered for her easy laugh and warm personality.

James “Mark” Robbs, 54, Vero Beach
James “Mark” Robbs, 54, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Mark was born April 9, 1963, in Greer, SC, to parents, James Green Robbs and Vicki Vaughn Robbs.
He had worked as an installer in the irrigation industry.
Mark is survived by his sister, Julie and brother, David, both of South Carolina, and his brother, Eddie, of Vero Beach.
Mr. Robbs was predeceased by both his parents, in 2016.
Robert Wasilewski, 75, Vero Beach
Robert Wasilewski, 75, of Vero Beach, was born Aug. 2, 1941, and died July 4, 2017. He was known to all who loved him as Waz. He was born in New Jersey, the only son of Laura Pollack and stepson of Anthony Pollack.
Bob attended Quinnipiac College and received a Bachelors in Computer Sciences. He then attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he received his Master’s. After graduation, he took a job at Yale University in the computer department. It was there in 1965 that he met the love of his life, Gail.
In 1969 they had the first of three beautiful children, Kim, soon followed by Amy, then their youngest child, Marc. He has many close friends; a sister-in-law Sharon Niederschmidt and mother-in-law Barbara (Orval) Niederschmidt; beautiful nieces and nephews, Lisa (Mike), Bryan, Isabel and Hudson, the children and grandchildren of his late brother-in-law Warren (Bonnie) Niederschmidt.
In late 1981, the family moved to Mendon, NY, where Bob worked at Xerox with industrial printers. Bob and Gail lived there for over 30 years, had many friends, and were part of the church community. Bob was musically inclined and was self taught playing both the guitar and the piano. He remained close to his family, and most holidays the entire (albeit small) family from both sides would get together for cocktails, a good meal, and to play cards; Bob often brought his guitar to play for family sing-a-longs.
His daughter Kim now lives in Louisville, Colo., with her husband, Greg Pestka. Amy lives in Irondequoit, NY, with her wife, Beth Sheldon. Marc lives in Irondequoit, NY, with his wife, Suzanne Hattala-Wasilewski.
Bob and Gail retired and moved to Vero Beach in 2014. Shortly after, they were blessed with their only grandchild, John Robert Wasilewski, son of Marc and Suzanne.
Bob will be dearly missed.
