Guests gathered in the purple-and-yellow-bedecked meeting room of the Marsh Landing Restaurant in Fellsmere for a “wedding shower” honoring Miss Sadie Princess, a charming Chihuahua and soon to be “bride” of Jackie Roo, a cute little mix.
The shower was an inaugural event to raise awareness for the Love of Paws Senior Pet Sanctuary and Pet Food Pantry, which provides sanctuary for animals whose senior owners are temporarily incapacitated, seeks permanent homes for pets whose owners have passed away, and supplies pet food to people in need.
In lieu of toasters or dish towels, guests showered the nonprofit with pet foods and supplies.
