The survey, published by the Meetings Mean Business Coalition, finds that a whopping 96 percent of small business owners continue to prioritize investments in travel for face-to-face meetings, industry conferences and trade shows in order to help facilitate stronger partnerships, drive new business opportunities and allow employees to continue learning. Small business owners in the technology industry especially value in-person meetings and events as a way to grow their businesses, say the researchers.
At a time when technology provides a great number of channels for remote communication, the business community continues to recognize the benefits of in-person meetings.
