Lincoln Parker Stanton, 82, Vero Beach

Lincoln “Link” Parker Stanton, 82, of Vero Beach passed away at Indian River Memorial Center on Oct. 15, 2016.

He is survived by his wife Wilma Brunner Stanton; four children, Robin Jenkins (Bruce), Susan Denny both of Tallahassee, Fla., Keith Stanton (Laura) of Vero Beach, and Kent Stanton (Jamie) of Stuart, Fla.; four step-children: Kenny Brunner, Jacqueline Sapp both of Vero Beach, Suzie Lambing of Buckingham, Pa., and Richie Brunner of Lake Worth, Fla.; two sisters: Arna Blum of London, England, Susan Coleman, of Papillion, Neb.; and one brother, Eric Stanton of Owosso, Mich.; four grandchildren: Tara Saindon, Samuel Denny, Esther Stanton, Jordan Stanton; and five step-grandchildren: Phillip, Brooke, Kristian, James, and Chloe; five great-grandchildren: Humility, Joseph, Heidi, Emmeline and Cora Saindon.

Stanton was born on Oct. 1, 1934, in Melrose, Mass., to parents Frank P. Stanton and Helen R. Arnold Stanton. He had been a resident of Vero Beach, for 46 years moving from Natick, Mass. He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 through 1957 achieving the rank of Airman First Class. Stanton graduated from Burdett College with an accounting major.

He married the late Nadine Schneider on Oct. 15, 1955, until her death on Nov. 18, 2006. He was employed by the Los Angeles Dodgers for over 26 years as comptroller. He was a Senator in the Jaycees and belonged to both the FSU Seminoles and Vero Beach High School Booster Club.

Stanton was gregarious in nature and loved life and most everybody he met. He liked to spend time with his family and church congregation. He was an accomplished bowler and loved sports, especially football.

Services will be held on Nov. 5, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Vero Christian Church, 3250 Oslo Road, Vero Beach, Florida 32968.
