Alfred Lothrop Hooker Jr., 93, of Sebastian passed away at the VNA Hospice House on Oct. 24, 2016.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Rebecca Jean and Charles Canupp of Sebastian; daughter and son-in-law Janet Louise and Thomas F. Murphy of Sebastian; daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth Diane and Gary Lee Beaty of West Palm Beach; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rebecca earlier this month.
Hooker was born on Feb. 28, 1923, to Alfred Lothrop Hooker Sr. and Rachel Celora (Parsons) Hooker. He worked in emergency services for Florida Power and Light Company, was a devoted husband and father, and member of Roseland United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held at Roseland United Methodist Church on Oct. 29, 2016, at 2 p.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County or Roseland United Methodist Church.
