Annie Jeanette Little, 80, of Sebastian passed away at Sebastian River Medical Center on Oct. 19, 2016.
She is survived by her sons Dr. J.F. Howard, Sr. and wife Kari of Asheboro, N.C.; grandchildren John Howard of Spruce Pine, N.C., Graham and Philip Howard, both of Winston-Salem, N.C., Josiah Howard of High Point, N.C.; and sister Ruby Evelyn Howard of Sebastian.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, T. Gene Little in 2009; and her brother, Lonnie Baxter “Sonny” Howard, Jr.
Little was born March 18, 1936, in Albemarle, N.C., to the late Lonnie Baxter Howard, Sr. and the late Ida Bella Barbee Howard.
She was a graduate of Albemarle High School and Charlotte Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a dedicated nurse, whose career extended more than 50 years.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Oct. 23, 2016, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by Dr. J.F. Howard, Sr. and Rev. John Howard, Jr. The burial will be at Fairview Memorial Park, 1425 East Main Street, Albemarle.
