John A. Ferro Sr., 92, of Vero Beach passed away Oct. 13, 2016.
He is survived by his son John Anthony Ferro, Jr. and his wife Maria of Vero Beach; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Anna Maria Ferro in 2010.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived in Vero Beach for 11 years coming from Long Island, N.Y.
Ferro was a US Army Veteran of WWII and served from 1942-1945.
He retired as a Bus Driver throughout the Long Island/New York City Area. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., Oct. 17, 2016, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Oct. 17, at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Interment will be held at Pine Lawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long New York.
