Viette S. “Vee” La Berge, 97, of Sebastian passed away Oct. 5, 2016.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean Smith of Sanford, N.C.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, William Kelsey Lawton and Jay La Berge; son, Robert Lawton.
She was born in Houston, Texas and lived in both Vero Beach and most recently Sebastian coming from Green Cove Springs, Fla. in 2000.
La Berge was a member of Christ By The Sea United Methodist Church, Vero Beach.
She was a proud Breast Cancer Survivor and just recently announced that she was ready to die before the elections because she did not want to know who wins.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Christ By The Sea United Methodist Church, 3755 Highway A-1-A, Vero Beach, FL 32963.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 17, 2016, at Christ By The Sea United Methodist Church, Vero Beach, with Pastor Cliff Melvin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian. A guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
