Bernice Snelling, 97, of Vero Beach passed away Oct. 8, 2016.
Survivors include her daughter, Harriett (Elvin) Jenkins of Vero Beach; four grandchildren; great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Snelling was born on Oct. 29, 1918.
She and her husband, the late Jessie Snelling, were Founders of Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church of Fort Pierce and Mount Bethel Primitive Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 14, 2016 at Greater Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Oct. 15, 2016 at Greater Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church, 2100 Avenue K, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
