TRAFFIC: Signals strung on wires taken down

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Public Works Department is in the process of removing traffic lights held up by wire.

Traffic lights mounted to suspension poles will not be removed.

At intersections where traffic lights are removed, they will be placing large stop signs in each direction.

Please treat these intersections as four-way stops.

The traffic lights will be returned as soon as it is safe for crews to begin working after the storm. These lights are being removed to reduce the likelihood of damage to the lights or other property.

Use caution when navigating these and any other intersections.
