Albert R. Vespo, 99, of Vero Beach and Port Washington, N.Y., passed away Oct. 2, 2016.
He was the beloved husband of the late Clare (Santoro); cherished father of Carla (Amit) Sikdar; cherished grandfather of Ian (Beth), Ryan, Jana (Nick Kindel), and Glenna (Grady) Creek; and beloved great-grandfather of Cecilia (Ian and Beth). He is survived by a number of devoted nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gaitano and Giacomina Vespo, and all his siblings.
Vespo graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School and was the founding owner of Ves-Pin Manufacturing Company. He served in the US Army infantry in the Philippines receiving two bronze stars and a citation from President Truman.
