Maragaret Gilbert, 92, of Vero Beach, passed away at her granddaughter’s residence on Sept. 23, 2016.
She is survived by granddaughters Vicki Johnson (Mitch) of Florida, Cindy Britton (Paul) of New York, Kelly Kuder (John) of Pennsylvania, and Johanna Gilroy of Louisianna; grandson Jim Tinker (Kathy) of Maryland; and three great-children.
She was preceded in death by her husband 46 years, Albert V. Gilbert in 1987, daughter LaVerne Gilbert, sons Albert V. Gilbert, Jr. and Kenneth Gilbert.
Gilbert was born in Baltimore, Md., and lived in Vero Beach coming from Hanover, Pa., in 2009.
She last worked as a manager for a retired teachers residence in Rio Rancho, N.M., and her first employment was as a telephone switchboard operator.
