Thomas Jahner, 53, of Sebastian, passed away on Sept. 12, 2016, after a courageous 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
He is survived by his parents; siblings Dorothy Hoffman, Leo (Pam) Jahner, Mary (Richard) Heidrich, Cindy (Tom) Nolz, all of North Dakota, and Tim Jahner of Sebastian.
Jahner was born to Leo and Marth (Bosch) Jahner on Aug. 5, 1963, in Linton. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Linton High School.
When he could no longer tolerate the North Dakota winters, he went to work in the Carolinas. After a time he settled in Sebastian where he did beautiful work installing tile.
Jahner loved to tell jokes and you were only a stranger to him once. He was a huge New England Patriots fan, loved going to NASCAR races, going to Key West and riding his motorcycle. He loved life and even throughout his illness, he had a positive attitude.
Mass of Christian Burial will be, Sept. 23, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Linton, N.D.
It’s not “good-bye,” but “See you later.”
