Roberto Alcides Collada Sr., 87, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 18, 2016, at Indian River Medical Center.
He is survived by his children Robert (Sylvia) Collada of Fort Pierce, Ana T. Arganaraz of Vero Beach and Guillermo R. (Mildred Perez) Collada of Fort Pierce; sisters Isabel Collada of Miami and Noelia Fernandez of San Juan, Puerto Rico; grandchildren Jennifer Arganaraz, Robert Arganaraz, Teresa Perez, Janet Collada, Dana Collada, Damon Collada, Vanessa Collada.
Collada was born in Victoria de LasTunas, Cuba and moved to New York City in 1966 from Cuba before moving to Miami, Fla. In 1989 he moved to Vero Beach from Miami.
He was of the Catholic faith and had owned a grocery store and butcher shop before his retirement.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 3 p.m., Sept. 23, 2016 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach, with a prayer service beginning at 3 p.m. Interment will then follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
