Audrey Hanson, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 14, 2016, at home with her children by her side.
She is survived by her four children: Merrilyn Beck (Jerry) of Florida, Richard C. Hanson (Cathy) of Canton, Texas, Donna Lee Hanson of Bullard, Texas, and Lari Ann Powers (Ray) of Apopka, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Charles W. Hanson, and only brother Joseph Merrill Gray, Jr.
Hanson was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Joseph Merrill Gray and Edna Cowgill Gray, and attended Ohio Wesleyan University. In 1942 she married Charles Walter Hanson, and together they raised four children while living in Cleveland, Ohio, Birmingham, Ala., Atlanta, Ga., and Miami until finally moving to Grove Isle in Vero Beach, coming from Pompano Beach.
