Hill was born on March 27, 1942, in Columbus, Ga., to Glenn Goodman and Hazel Lester Goodman.
She married the love of her life on Aug. 26, 1962 and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Florida State University in 1963 with a double major in English and Mathematics. She obtained her Master’s in Education from Florida Atlantic University and later obtained her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University with Honors in 1993.
In a very short timeframe following her graduation, she became a Magistrate Judge in the Florida Circuit Court.
Hill was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her love of life and unending desire to experience new things was inspiration to her family and all who knew her.
In her lifetime, not only did she perform flying trapeze in the FSU circus, she raced corvettes in the 1970s frequently taking the ladies fastest time of the day; owned a women’s boutique clothing shop; taught high school mathematics; was a soloist in
the church choir; played piano, violin, and guitar; traveled to Russia, China, and Antarctica; gamely rode an ostrich in Australia; and inspired generations of family to love snow skiing. She was completely loved, and will be deeply missed.
A private memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Bend, Oregon.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to her most precious charity, HelpUsAdopt.org.
