Bruce Edward Bechtold, 70, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sept. 8, 2016, at VNA Hospice House.
He is survived by his daughter Kristy Albano and son-in-law Tony Albano of Vero Beach; grandchildren Britney Denny and Halen Denny of Vero Beach; brother Stephen Bechtold of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; and sister Ruth Merkle of New York, N.Y.
Bechtold was born in New York City and lived in Vero Beach coming from Ocala, Fla., in 2010.
He spent most of his working career around horses and horse transport, including a career highlight of being the certified transporter of famed racing horse “Afleet Alex.”
He attended Cornerstone Christian Church, Vero Beach.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 15, 2016, at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Fla.
