Beatrice Moore Kostenbauder, 89, Sebastian

Beatrice Moore Kostenbauder, 89, of Sebastian, passed away on Aug. 31, 2016, at Grace Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness.

She is survived by her husband of more than 56 years, Paul; daughters Kathryn (Stuart) LeBlanc of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Kristine (Michael) Jones of Sebastian; brother Thomas Moore of Alamogordo, N.M.; sister Mary Sparks of Lunenburg, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.

Kostenbauder was born Aug. 26, 1927, in Pepperell, Mass., and had been a resident of Sebastian since 1993.

She was a graduate of Burdett College in Boston, Mass., and held a number of executive and legal secretarial positions before retiring from a large law firm in West Palm Beach in 1989.

She was a member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church, where she was a volunteer worker, and was active for many years with the social group at the Palm Lake Club in Sebastian.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to be made to St. Sebastian Catholic Church “Building Fund” 13075 U.S. Highway 1, Sebastian, FL 32958.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Father John Morrissey, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pepperell, Mass.
