Mary Doris Holtzclaw, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on Aug. 27, 2016, at her home.
She is survived by her sons David C. (Sharon) Holtzclaw and Randy (Josie) Holtzclaw of Vero Beach; grandchildren Kurt D. Holtzclaw, Kristen E. Holtzclaw, and Ryan C. Holtzclaw, Kyle S. Holtzclaw, Ashley M. Montgomery, Danielle L. Montgomery and Rachel N. Montgomery; two great-grandchildren; and a brother Billy (Jean) Long of San Francisco, Calif.
Holtzclaw was born in Leesville, S.C., and moved to Vero Beach in 1946, from Melbourne, Fla.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, actively participating in its many groups at every opportunity. She was a member of the women’s auxiliary of the Indian River County Volunteer Fire Department for many years. She loved to crochet and was a member of the church crafting group.

Memorial Service will be held 10 a.m. on Sept. 6, 2016 Strunk Funeral Home & Crematory.
