INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Foyer Gallery of Art located at the Emerson Center, 1590 27th Avenue, Vero Beach, will feature the recent acrylic paintings created by Carl Rantz, a well known printmaker artist formally of Massachusetts and now a local resident.
This special exhibit will be held from Sept. 1 through Oct. 31.
Rantz, now almost 90-years-old and a veteran of WWII, studied art and majored in printmaking at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston under Ture Bengtz. Later, he joined Bengtz and a few other graphic artist students from the school to form the now prestigious Boston Printmakers of which he is still a member.
Since living in Florida for more than 10 years, Rantz’s art media has changed from printmaking to abstract acrylic painting. Please come and see these beautiful, colorful paintings.
The Gallery will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be a special “Meet the Artist” night on Oct. 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. just before the Humanities Series lecture at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served at this “Meet the Artist” reception.
