Arthur “Archie” Paddock, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 11, 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia; his loving son Arthur (Lori); a sister Joyce Perkins and many nieces and nephews.
Paddock was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on Aug. 7, 1931, the son of Arthur and Dorothy Paddock.
He served in the US Navy from 1951 until 1955 on the carrier USS Saipan.
He retired as a supervisor from Southern New England Telephone Company after 29 years of service.
He was a lifelong Methodist and currently was a member of First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach.
If Archie could be described with one word it would be Gentleman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at the Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, with Pastor Jeff Wood, officiating.
Strunk Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
