INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The man killed in a crash while crossing Oslo Road Thursday evening has been identified.
John Holt, 68, of Vero Beach was hit by Alexis Hernandez, 20, of Vero Beach when Holt was attempting to walk across Oslo Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Hernandez struck Holt with the right front of his 2004 Jeep SUV.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. near Oslo Road and 27th Avenue SW, according to the Florida Highway Patrol website.
Holt was taken to the Indian River Medical Center and later pronounced dead, according to authorities. The crash is still under investigation.
