Harry Kort, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away suddenly on Aug. 5, 2016, at the Indian River Medical Center.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Anita G. Kort of Vero Beach; two daughters, Audrey Swartz of Bend, Oregon, and Jill Malley of Moraga, Calif.; son, Richard Holmberg of Saint Thomas, V.I.; one sister, Margaret Suleck of Mebane, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
Kort was born in Morristown, N.J., and had been a resident of Florida since 1989, coming from Towaco, Montville Township, N.J. He had lived in Stuart, until moving to Vero Beach in January of this year.
He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
He retired from AT&T after 40 years of service.
A Service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
