Helen Langdon Murray, 89, Vero Beach

Helen Langdon Murray, 89, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 9, 2016, at Palm Garden Health and Rehabilitation.

She is survived by her children, Geoffrey (Rebecca) Murray of Trinity, Ala., and Kenneth (June) Murray of Palm Beach Gardens; and two grandchildren, Devon Murray and Travis James Cooper.

She was predeceased by her husband, George J.B. Murray in 1991.

Murray was born April 4, 1927, in Washington D.C. to the late Eugene and Julia Landgon.

A longtime resident of Vero Beach, Murray was an active member of the Unity Church, The Red Hat Society and supporter of the Humane Society. Prior to retirement, she worked at Alma Lee’s Children’s Clothing Center.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Dan Holloway officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County, www.hsvb.org.
