Barbara J. Smith, 72, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 13, 2016, at Indian River Medical Center.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Ronald H. Smith; step-daughters Ronda Mingus and Lori Mercer, both of Murphy, N.C.; four step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Smith was born in Rockaway, N.Y., she attended Sharon Williams Business Schoo. In Miami for 10 years. She had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1992, coming from Miami.
Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
