Edward Arthur Bodine, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away on June 29, 2016 at Grace Rehabilitation Center.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine Henderson Bodine; sons Scott Robert Bodine and Brian Edward Bodine both of Vero Beach; grandchildren Angelica Elane Bodine, Blane Edward Bodine and Rutger Dean Bodine all of Sebastian; great-granddaughter Scarlett Elane Bodine of Sebastian; two nieces and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Bodine was born in Trenton, N.J., and moved to Vero Beach 18 years ago from Ewing, N.J. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Temple University. He retired from EAB Mechanical Industries of which he was founder and CEO and had also worked as the supervisor of the Nuclear Power Plant in Salem, N.J., for two years.
He was a member of the Ewing Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Trustee. He was a Past President of the Ewing Kiwanis Club, member of Local 9 in Trenton, the New Jersey Mechanical Contractors Association, the National Mechanical Contractors Association and the Navy League.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016 St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian followed by military honors presented from the Sebastian River Area Honor Guard.
Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
