INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — James Precord, Grand Knight of Holy Cross Knights of Columbus, and Dan Stump, Past Grand Knight of Holy Cross Knights of Columbus and the Chairman of this year’s Tootsie Roll Drive, presented checks to three local non profits.
Accepting on behalf of the Special Scouts Troop, Scoutmaster Theresa Stewart thanked the KOC for their continued support over the years.
“The main goal of the Knights of Columbus is to support special needs organizations. The primary goal of the tootsie roll drives all over the state is to raise money for this type of organization,” James Precord said.
Executive Director Chuck Bradley also thanked the Knights of Columbus for their continued support over the years.
“The generous donations from the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive every year allow us to do special projects that are not necessarily in the budget. This year the money will help underwrite some of the expenses incurred in the oyster mat production our clients assemble in the Adult Day Training program,” Bradley said.
