Joseph T. Schasane, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on June 22, 2016, while surrounded by family members at Brookdale Clare Bridge Assisted Living.
He is survived by his son Wayne Schasane of Vero Beach; daughters Florinda Mazzarella and Cheryl Monroe, both of Vero Beach; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Loy Schasane; brother Bob Schasane; and sisters Barbara Turner and Dorothy.
Schasane was born in Waukegan, Ill., and lived in Vero Beach since 1955. He worked as a manager of local drug stores for over 25 years.
He was a Korean War Veteran and served in the United States Army.
A Celebration of Life will be at Good Shepherd Church at 4325 65th Street, Vero Beach at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Shepherd Church – Mission Fund.
