VERO BEACH — Five solo shows and one group exhibition will highlight next season’s art schedule at the Center for Spiritual Care in Vero Beach. Carol Ludwig, the Center’s executive director, said the lineup “underlines both our commitment to the area’s artists and the community’s growing interest in the outstanding art that is being produced here.”
The art season will open at the Center in November with an installation by Barry Shapiro, owner of the former Lighthouse Gallery on 14th Avenue, entitled “A Walk in the Woods.”
December will bring a group show with a generalized holiday theme. Eleven artists who have shown previously at the Center will take part. They include Aric Attas, Rita Bernstein, Ellen Fischer, Deborah Gooch, Barbara Krupp, Betsy McKean, Dawn Miller, Sharon Morgan, Tim Sanchez, Sean Sexton and Allan Teger.
Solo shows in January, February and March will feature the work of Mary Segal, Gus Miller and Jan Miller respectively. The season is expected to end in April with a showing of the pastels of George Pillorgé.
All shows will open on the evening of the Gallery Stroll, the first Friday of the month, with an artist’s reception. The Center, which aims to integrate creativity with mind, body and spirit, is located two blocks north of the main library at 1550 24th Street in Vero Beach.
