VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Art Club presented a $2,000 check to the Vero Beach Museum of Art to provide summer camp scholarships for kids ages 4-16.
The camp is designed to offer a creative environment for young artists to explore new ideas, develop skills and build self esteem through making and learning art.
“It is indeed a pleasure for our club to invest in the future artists of our community,” beamed Rebecca Vancordt, Vero Beach Art Club President.
The Vero Beach Art Club, through it’s various events raises funds throughout the year to provide scholarships to the Vero Beach Museum summer camp and the Vero Beach Recreation Department.
Yvonne Steere, who co-chairs the club’s Art in the Park events which showcases 20-25 members artwork under tents at Humiston Park said, “We are a great partnership, the City and the Art Club, and we are happy to give something back.”
