FELLSMERE — Authorities have identified the woman who was pulled from a canal in Fellsmere Thursday night and later died.
Sharon Farmer Morgan, 70, of the 13000 block of 103rd St., was found unconscious in a 2013 Honda CRV that flipped in a canal around 9:15 p.m. Thursday.
Morgan had attempted to make a left-hand turn into her driveway when the vehicle overturned into a ditch, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The Honda CRV came to rest on its roof.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
Deputies pulled Morgan from the vehicle. She was taken to the Sebastian River Medical Center, where she later died.
