Master’s Academy appoints new Lower School Principal

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Master’s Academy is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Lantrip as Lower School Principal. Lantrip has more than eight years of experience in Christian education, both as a teacher and administrator.

Lantrip comes to Master’s Academy from Bethany Christian School in Melbourne where he served as Principal. He is FACCS (Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools) certified in Science, Bible, and Administration.

In addition to teaching and administrative experience, Lantrip has served in foreign missionary and pastoral work. He is licensed and ordained to establish and direct the functions of local church ministries and holds a BA in Missions and Bible from Baptist Bible College and a MA in Biblical Counseling from Louisiana Baptist University.

Lantrip assumed the Lower School Principal position at Master’s Academy on June and did not waste any time getting acquainted with the campus, faculty, staff, and families at Master’s.

“I am sincerely delighted to be part of the Master’s Academy family,” said Lantrip. “Not only do I hope to learn and grow here, but I hope that my experience as a teacher, administrator and former missionary will be used by God for His glory and for the benefit of Master’s Academy.”

Master’s Academy has been serving Indian River County since 1998 and offers Preschool through 12th grade on the campus of First Church of God Vero Beach. Enrollment and inquiries have been strong for the 2016-17 school year and the school’s growth, in part, prompted the need to hire a Lower School Principal. The school also has plans for a capital campaign to expand facilities.

“These are exciting times at Master’s Academy and we anticipate the great things that God has in store for our school and community. We are delighted that Eric Lantrip has joined us to serve our community,” said Dr. Wayne Smith, Head of School.
