Helen Kent Dennis, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on June 10, 2016, at the Indian River Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband William Dennis and three of her children: Thomas (Mia), Walter (Sheila), and Denise (Bobby).
She was preceded in death by her oldest son Michael (Josephine).
She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Born in 1930 in Gibson, Ga., Dennis attended Warner Robbins High School where she met her husband of 64 years, William. She continued her education at Georgia Business College in order to pursue a career in business administration.
She worked as a court reporter at Robbins Air Force Base in Warner Robbins, Ga., until leaving to raise her growing family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cooking for her family and fishing with her spouse.
She was a member and regular attendee of Asbury Methodist Church in Vero Beach.
Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association.
The service will be performed by the Rev. Diego Flores, a close family friend.
