Gas station robbed at gunpoint

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — For the second consecutive night an area gas station was robbed, this time at gunpoint. 

The Shell gas station at 53rd Street and U.S. 1 was robbed at gunpoint around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Indian River County Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Eric Flowers. 

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, according to authorities. He also had a bandanna over his mouth during the robbery. The robbery was over in two minutes. K-9 and a sheriff’s helicopter helped in the search; the suspect is believed to have fled in a vehicle.
