Elaine C. Stull, 84, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2016, after a battle with leukemia.
She is survived by her step-children Catherine Kniffen (James) and Philip B. Stull III (Sandra); her nieces and nephews Adrian W. Doherty, Jr., (Elizabeth), Sheila D. Marfuggi, Paul C. Doherty, Michael C. Doherty (Kathleen) and Mary Patricia Doherty.
She was preceded in death by her husband Philip B. Stull Jr., in 2010.
Stull was an active member of the Vero Beach community and a parishioner of Holy Cross Church through which she volunteered at the Sneaker Exchange and Our Father’s Table. She also volunteered at after-school reading and literacy programs through the Literacy Center of Indian River County.
She and Phil were founding members of the Orchid Island Yacht Club and she remained an enthusiastic participant in their activities after Phil’s death.
She was a fan of bridge and had a regular golf game with a large group of ladies every week for the past three years. She was closing in on “shooting her age.”
Prior to retiring to Vero Beach, she had an active professional career in the property and casualty insurance business, ending her career as an underwriter at CNA.
She was admired and loved by a wide circle of family and friends who will cherish memories of their time with her.
