INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A hit-and-run Wednesday night injured a bicyclist, who was found sleeping on the side of the road early this morning.
The incident happened near U.S. 1 and 81st Street, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The injured man was found sleeping on the roadway at around 6:30 a.m. He was transported to the hospital.
It was apparently a glancing blow, according to authorities. The vehicle may have been a Ford pickup.
The man’s condition is not known. FHP is investigating.
