VERO BEACH — Jake Owen is showing Indian River County the money.
The generous local country music phenom brought in $175,000 during last December’s two shows at Riverside Theatre, and more than 80 percent of the funds raised stayed in Indian River County.
Here are the groups that received donations:
- Boys & Girls Club of Indian River County/Vero Beach
- Hibiscus Children’s Center
- Mardy Fish Children’s Foundation
- Riverside Theatre, Inc.
- Education Foundation of Indian River County, Inc.
- Youth Guidance Donation Fund of Indian River County, Inc.
- Scholarship Foundation of Indian River County
- Indian River Golf Foundation
- Live Like Cole Foundation
The St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital also was a beneficiary.
