INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The tornado warning has expired, but Indian River County is still under a flood advisory until 9 p.m.
In Vero Beach, State Road 60 is closed at 19th Avenue.
Shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday, a tornado touched down on Interstate 95 at the 143 mile marker, according to the police scanner.
Minor hail was reported on the island.
The Vero Beach City Council meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday has been cancelled and rescheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, according to City Clerk Tammy Vock.
There have been reports of motorists floating away in their vehicles.
