SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly luncheon on May 10, at Capt. Hiram’s Tiffany Room, in Sebastian.
The featured guest speaker for the luncheon will be Duane DeFreese, Ph.D and Executive Director of the Indian River Lagoon Council, a special district of the State of Florida that manages the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program.
Dr. DeFreese has maintained an active pubic speaking schedule and community leadership. His central message is that oceans, coasts and estuaries are an engine that drive the economy and quality of life of Florida. He will provide an update on the status of the Indian River Lagoon.
The Chamber lunch cost is $15 for chamber members with reservations, and $20 at the door. Chamber members with reservations will receive priority seating, and the lunch will be open to the public.
