Thomas A. ‘Tom’ Gould, 73, Vero Beach

Thomas A. ‘Tom’ Gould, 73, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 2, 2016.

He was the husband of the late Brenda J. Elso, father of Brian A. Bousquet (Maureen) of Bridgewater, Mass., and stepfather of Monica Edwards and Lisa Elso. He is also survived by his sister Linda J. Peterson (James) of Vero Beach; brother Kenneth G. Gould (Georgia) of Greenwood Ind.,; grandchildren Emma and Joshua Bousquet, Daniel and Ashley Edwards; three nephews and Brian’s mother Connie Bousquet.

Gould was born in Boston and resided in Marshfield and E. Bridgewater, Mass., prior to relocating to Vero Beach in 1987. He was the owner and operator of T A Gould trucking company.

In retirement he enjoyed driving the GO Line bus. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Eagles of Vero and a former member of the Commercial Club of E. Bridgewater, Mass.

He was a big, thoughtful, caring, witty, loyal and gentle man. He loved people and people loved him. He worked hard to be positive and happy throughout life and especially during his illness. He was truly an ambassador of good will.

He and Brenda enjoyed traveling the country in their motor home and fishing and boating on the Indian River.

His burial is private and a gathering of his friends will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Humane Society of Vero Beach, 6230 77th St. Vero Beach FL 32967.
