Indian River State College opens registration for 2016 summer, fall classes

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Registration for the 2016 summer and fall semesters is now underway at all Indian River State College (IRSC) campuses.

Treasure Coast residents and recent high school graduates planning to start college in the fall are encouraged to apply now and complete the Federal Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) early, increasing their access to funding.

More than 70 percent of new students at IRSC receive financial aid they don’t have to pay back. Students who submit all their FAFSA documents by June 30 will receive a 10 percent discount for textbooks in any IRSC bookstore.

The priority admissions deadline for the Fall Semester is August 1 and classes begin Wednesday, Aug. 24 at IRSC’s five local campuses and online. For students planning to get a head start, the registration deadline for the Summer I Semester is May 6, with classes beginning Monday, May 9. Summer II Semester classes begin June 28.
