Buy once used wedding decor at the Knot Swap May 15

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Wedding season is in full swing. Venues, hair and makeup artists, event planners, photographers and cake decorators have been booked for months, but soon the weather will warm up, and the wedding industry will begin to fizzle- that’s when “The Knot Swap” really starts to sizzle!

The Knot Swap Bridal Market is a fun, safe and convenient way for newlyweds to sell their once used wedding decorations and dresses to future brides post “I Do’s.”

The Knot Swap’s inaugural event took place last year at Pointe West. The turnout was so spectacular that a larger venue would clearly be necessary for future events. Future brides, friends and family piled into the foyer waiting for First Look to start. Newlyweds added the finishing touches to their displays, and when the hour hand hit 10 a.m., the bargain hunting began. Shoppers snagged up signs, hauled out boxes of mason jars, and loaded their cars with flower arrangements, candles and more. One newlywed even sold out within the first two hours!

The Knot Swap 2016, hosted at Bent Pine Golf Club, will take place on May 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with First Look kicking off at 10 a.m. First Look is reserved for shoppers who purchase a special pass that provides exclusive access to once used items for an hour before doors open for general admission. First Look passes are $18 each or three for $15 each, and are limited to the first 50 buyers.

General admission is from 11 to 1 p.m. Prior Planner Passes can be purchased online for $6 each or 3 for $5 each. Passes can also be purchased at the door on May 15 for $12. Each shopper will be treated to champagne, passed hors d’oeuvres, unbelievable bargains, raffle prizes and a vendor meet and greet.

Newlyweds have until May 7 to reserve space to sell their once used décor and dresses. Newlywed Tables are $40 and can be shared with a friend if one feels they do not have enough items to sell on their own. Once registered, newlyweds are invited to submit photos of their decorations to be featured on social media.

Tickets, registration and additional information can be found at www.theknotswap.com or you may contact Stephanie Nelson at Stephanie@theknotswap.com. A limited number of vendor spaces are available for $300 and must be reserved in advance.

The Knot Swap was founded by Stephanie Nelson in 2014 after struggling to sell her once used décor online. Since then, she has made it her mission to help newlyweds avoid the hassle of Craigslist no-shows and unwanted solicitations.
