Elza D. Ward, 99, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2016.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and WWII veteran.
Ward is survived by his wife of 77 years Genevieve; their daughter Kathie; three grandsons; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughters Karen and Linda, and his five brothers Rudy, Roy, Melvin, Robert and Jack.
Ward was born in Wakefield, Ohio on Aug. 23, 1916. He served in the US Army and lived in Lucasville, Ohio before moving to Vero Beach in 1968.
A Memorial Service will be held at Lucasville Cemetery in Lucasville, Ohio at 12 p.m. on April 28. Friends may visit Ms. Ward at the Isles of Vero.
