INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An Indian River County man was found with more than 250 pieces of child pornography and now sits in the county jail with bail set at $300,000, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities made the discovery and issued an arrest warrant for Damon Bailey, 24, of the 1400 block of 90th Ave., Vero Beach, in January. He was subsequently arrested and had a court appearance Thursday.
Bailey faces 30 counts of felony child pornography possession – 25 of which note each possession was of 10 or more images.
The warrant affidavit did not detail how authorities came to find the images in Bailey’s possession. Neither it nor the arrest affidavit provides information regarding Bailey’s reaction to the discovery.
Bailey is due back in court in July.
