VERO BEACH — Vero Beach music sensation Jake Owen is battling it out against two other country stars in a music video vote-off and it’s up to viewers to decide who will win.
Owen’s “American Country Love Song,” which features scenes recently shot in Vero Beach, is up against three-time winner Blake Shelton’s “Came Her to Forget” and fellow challenger Sturgill Simpson’s “Brace for Impact (Live a Little).”
Country music fan site TheBoot.com is hosting the competition, encouraging music fans to vote as often as once every hour through April 24.
Shelton is one week away from being a four-time winner. If that happens, his video would be retired into The Boot’s Video Shootout Hall of Fame, allowing for new competitors to duke it out.
