Patricia Louise Hayes, 67, Vero Beach

Patricia Louise Hayes, 67, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 27, 1949.

She is survived by her sons Craig and Brian; step-son David Hayes; brother Bobby Lindsey; sister Jean Lindsey; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and her faithful canine companion, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carrol Joseph “Gabby” Hayes, her parents Ralph and Frances Lindsey and her step-daughter Libby Brantley.

Hayes was born in Vero Beach on March 27, 1949.

She graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1967 and attended Macon General Hospital School of Nursing in Macon, Ga., eventually returning to Vero Beach to raise her family. She enjoyed and excelled at being a nurse for more than 40 years, first in Jacksonville and later at Indian River Medical Center.

Hayes was a faithful member of King’s Baptist Church for more than 30 years. She enjoyed worshipping and encouraged all of her friends and family to have a spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ.

Her sons Craig and Brian, along with her sister Jean Lindsey and brother Bobby Lindsey were by her side during her final moments on this earth.

Services will be held at King’s Baptist Church, 3235 58th Avenue, Vero Beach, on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 beginning with the visitation at 1 p.m. and the funeral to follow at 2 p.m.
