Danette J. “Midge” Erwig, 77, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 8, 2016.
She is survived by her son Peter (Margaret) Oliverio Erwig; her two beautiful granddaughters Bailey and Hannah, and two grand-dogs, all of Port St. Lucie; by her daughter Heidi Erwig (James) Weir and her five grand-dogs who live on Water Island in the USVI; and by her son Eric Erwig of Merritt Island.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Lauchlin MacMillan, and her husband Bill.
Erwig was born in Amityville, N.Y., the daughter of Dr. Duncan and Amy (Kirkland) MacMillan. She graduated from Amityville High School and lived in Gilgo Beach, N.Y., and later in Amagansett, N.Y. where she raised three children with her beloved husband of 43 years William (Bill) Erwig. They moved to Vero Beach Florida in 1992.
Celebrations of Life will be held in the near future in Vero Beach.
