Registration is open for Title I Summer Enrichment Program

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Students who attend Citrus, Dodgertown, Fellsmere, Indian River Academy, Pelican Island, Vero Beach Elementary, St. Peter’s Charter Academy and who are entering grades 1 through 5 in the Fall of 2016, are eligible to register for the Title I Summer Enrichment Program.

The Title I Summer Enrichment Program is a literacy-rich classroom environment that will allow for the integration of literacy with science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) instruction, and incorporate problem solving, vocabulary building, reading, writing, listening, and speaking through STEM activities.

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided daily. Transportation will also be provided for students residing beyond two miles of the school site they will attend.

The deadline to register students is May 6. Registration forms are available at the eligible schools sites listed above. Completed registrations are due on or before May 6.

The Title I Summer Program begins June 13, and continues through June 24, 2016. Student hours are 8 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. For more information, please contact your child’s school or Karen Malits, coordinator of Title I, III, and X Programs, at (772) 564-3096.
