Sylvia Pomfret, 75, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 2, 2016.
She is survived by her husband David E. Pomfret; son Steven M. Pomfret; and daughter-in-law Jane A. Pomfret; and granddaughter Morgan L. Pomfret.
Pomfret was born in England and moved to Jamaica shortly after marrying her husband, David. From Jamaica, they moved to Fort Lauderdale, Ocean Ridge, and finally to Vero Beach.
She was an incredibly talented artist. She enjoyed painting birdhouses, nature and flowers. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and a great sense of humor.
She also enjoyed reading, collecting antiques, playing squash, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and caring person, always thinking of others first.
Pomfret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
The family will greet friends April 13 from 10 to 11 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory.
