Arthur Mayfield Hill III, 79, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 30, 2016, at his home.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 33 years Linda J. Thompson-Hill; son Arthur Jason Hill (Jamie) both of Vero Beach; daughter Kathryn Stallings (Troy) of Madison, Fla.; stepdaughter Cynthia Thompson (Dennis Orlowski) of Portland Oregon; grandchildren Isabella Hill, Chelsea and Johnny Green; and great-grandchildren Clayton, Edrian and Carter.
He was preceded in death by his stepson Lane Thompson of Vero Beach.
Hill was born on July 18, 1936, in Vero Beach to his parents Arthur Mayfield Hill Jr. of Vero Beach and Margaret Elizabeth Waters of Hendersonville, N.C.
He was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach and served in the United States Navy on board the USS Taylor. He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School class of 1956.
Hill was an electrician for the city of Vero Beach, working at the power plant for 37 years until his retirement in 1997.
